4 Ways To Develop a Thick Skin To Win.

Move on so you can move forward.

Sometimes the views and feedback we don't want to hear are often what we need to hear most.

Perhaps, it is because it is the fuel we need to change?

Moreover, change requires discomfort.

It’s impossible to avoid criticism. However, how you respond will define the next steps you take.

If you can deal with the discomfort of harsh but constructive truth, you can deal with change.

1. Don’t get defensive or blame.

Going on the defence does not come across as logical or reasonable.

It sends the signal that there actually is something that needs defending.

2. Ask yourself what did I hear?

How you interpret things has a lot to do with this. Remember, context is everything it shapes our reality and environments.

3. Don't take it personally.

It is not an attack on you or your work. View it as the other person trying to help you then reframe it and ask for their advice.

It shows your ability to be openminded and assertive.

Think:

"How can you help me to help you?"

4. Understand being upset is a choice.

Use it as positive fuel or let it suck your energy by overthinking it.

We all have a choice.

The most desirable trait you can have in life and business is a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
