What Makes You Independent?
I spent years relying on others to make me happy. I was left disappointed.
Happy Independence Day and the #FourthofJuly to my American connections.
It got me thinking about independence in general.
1. What sets you free?
2. What does being independent and responsible for owning your life, career and future happiness look like for you?
3. What does it give you?
I spent years relying on others to make me happy. I was left disappointed. It was not their responsibility. It was mine.
1. What sets me free?
My training. It takes me to a place where I am in complete control. Every time I train I build my confidence muscle. The confidence and reinforcement of belief from others who train me takes me to the next level. It sets me free from the self-doubt and low self-esteem that left me trapped in my own bullshit for years.
2. What does being independent and responsible for owning my life, career and future happiness look like for me?
Peaceful and calm. With calmness comes confidence and rational thinking. The way forward is clearer. There is no internal conflict. My life and emotions are in context.
3. What does it give me?
A sense of oneself and belonging to me. I own it. I always tried to belong and show up for others in the past for acceptance. I left myself behind. Letting go has been liberating.
I am whole, resourceful, creative and in control.
